If hair is so oily that you must wash it daily, does this mean you should change shampoos?

Yes get shampoo for oily hair and try not to touch it too much. The oils from your hands are likely making your hair look greasy.

A trick I learned is that if you don't have time to wash your hair and it looks a little greasy - put a small amount of talcum powder and brush it through - it is just a quick fix.

Also, make sure that every once in a while, you wash your brushes in the same shampoo that you use for your hair. Brushes got dirty too!If hair is so oily that you must wash it daily, does this mean you should change shampoos?
yes your useint the worng shampoo that causeing you to have

much grese in your haedIf hair is so oily that you must wash it daily, does this mean you should change shampoos?
You can buy shampoos that are designed for oily hair.

Most of them say ';For oily hair'; or ';Dry and damaged hair'; or ';Normal hair'; or ';For thick hair'; etc etc on the ranges made by that brain.

For instance ';Head and sholders - for dry and damaged hair'; may be red, where as the one of oily hair may be blue.

CREED
No you don't need to do that. Just find a good shampoo that would suit you and your needs... that would serve your purpose
no if its because of the shampoo yes but gress and hairspray and stuff wash it dailey dont change shampoos!
im not sure, u could try a kind of shampoo that is specifically for people with oily hair and see if it makes a difference.....
i actually found that helped for me, maybe it was just the brand i was using....i also find using a blowdryer make it less oily, the more volume your hair was the less oily it seems...

Is shampooing daily harmful for the hair?

Shampooing daily takes a lot of oils and what not from your hair that your hair needs. Try shampooing every other day instead. Is shampooing daily harmful for the hair?
Yes, because shampoos generally are full of chemicals so it takes away lots of natural oils from your hair so its better to shampoo twice a week, but that's for normal hair. Now it depends on the type of hair you have and shampoo you choose. So i would prefer you first to first know your hair type and then go for the shampoo including the number of times you use it.Is shampooing daily harmful for the hair?
3 times a weak should be enough

a teacher of health care said in school
No, just choose a shampoo that doesn't have wax in it. Also make sure the shampoo is the right type for your hair. If you're not sure, ask the person that cuts your hair. He or she should be able to tell you which shampoos are best (no wax). Don't be fooled into buying shampoo from where you get your hair cut. You can get the equivalent at the grocery store a whole lot cheaper.
Typically, no. Years ago, etiquette and hygiene books recommended you wash your hair once a week or once every two weeks. But with the advancement of hair care products and the creation of gentler products, it is maintained that you wash your hair daily. Of course, this depends on the shampoo you use. Gentle shampoos may be used daily, while others are recommended for once or twice a week use. Make sure you read the bottle carefully or ask your stylist if you have bought a salon鈥檚 formula.

The same is true of conditioners. Deep conditioners and oils are not recommended for daily use, as it can cause severe damage to the hair and scalp. However, there are many conditioners designed for daily use. Again, read the bottle carefully or ask your stylist.
yes... it dries ur hair...wash with only water is sufficient!
it can if you use a bad and hard shampoo. i sugest using either herbal essences or aussie.
In general No!!

But, I wish there were a way to really ennunciate the ';But';, if you have ';controlled'; damaged hair, you know permed, colored, relaxed you will want to use a shampoo that is more acidic, to help close the cuticle, when you perm, color or even blow dry or curl your hair on a daily basis, you are changing the structure of the hair, opening the cuticle, which is the outermost layer of your hair, by using an acidic shampoo, you help to close the cuticle. Which will also help the hair to appear shiny, with the cuticle closed it gives light a smooth surface to reflect off of! When the cuticle is raised from damage, light reflects off a jagged surface giving a dull, matte appearance!!

Unfortunately you can not walk into a drug store and shop for ';acidic'; shampoo!! Most consumer shampoos are labeled PH balanced, well everything falls somewhere on the ph scale!! Water is neutral at 7, and if I remember correctly skin and hair fall between a 4.5 and a 5.5!!

Best place to buy acidic shampoo? From a Hair Salon, and please take the time and speak with a Stylist, they are educated on the products their salon sells!!

If you have hair that is not colored or permed, and really not much visable damage you could probably be happy with the everyday shampoos, I love Flex!! and Finesse!! Mainly for the scent, but, my hair is so thin that both of these shampoos just leave me oily and weighed down, but I sure do smell good!! Hehe!
no way u can apply sahpoo every day but before shampooing u must apply oil to ur hair if u can do this regularly u can get best result with in one month
As my own experience, shampooing daily makes my hair rough and weak.

But since I started shampooing on alternate days, my hairs have now become healthy and shiny...
shampoo contains some chemicals which are not suitable for hair if used daily, because our hair is very sensitive (dead tissue)

Is shampooing daily harmful for the hair?

yes because it dries your hair out.Is shampooing daily harmful for the hair?
Yes. Harmful for the wallet. Is shampooing daily harmful for the hair?
It depends on what kind of hair you have. If your hair tends to be to be dry and flaky you probably shouldn't shampoo as much (unless it's a dandruff problem), if your hair is oily shampooing won't harm it.
yes,it makes ur hair dry and the chemicals in it makes ur hair rough.
My grandma used to say it was and she would tell me that my hair would all fall out. I still have a full head of hair. That was back in the day when women only washed their hair once a week. icky kaka
Not Daily but thrice a week is better and make sure you are using a mild shampoo. or less PH of that shampoo

And do not rub your hair too hard

or comb when it is wet and allow it to dry before you put a knot
Not unless your shampoo is the drying kind.

I recommend something that's creamy for daily use. However, if you have dandruff, then it's sensible to use an anti-dandruff shampoo at least twice a week. You could use the creamy kind the other five days of the week.
i think i depends on ur hair type...if you have straight hair then washing should be done at least every other day since it is easier for the natural oils of ur hair to coat the hair shaft and build up, which leads to greasy, stringy hair if not washed...however if ur hair is curly it can go a little longer w/o washing since it takes the natural oils longer to travel around the coils of the hair.
it could cause it can dry out your hair but u can use conditioner afterwards
Yes, shampooing your hair daily washes away essential oils that our scalp and hair need in order to be healthy. Just try washing your hair with shampoo every other day.
It depends upon the type of shampoo you are using.
Not if you use a gentle shampoo
id do it every other day at the most
yes it is your hair can get dried out wash your hair like every 2 weeks
Depends on the type of hair you have. Use two different shampoos and alternate so that your hair gets different nutrients each day.
Yes, Shampooing daily will make hair loose their strength and you may become bald, as shampoo is a chemical compound made from petroleum based detergent.
i do every day but i heard it is bad because your hair needs natural oils x
no
Yes, it dries yr hair which becomes brittle and yr scalp which then causes dandruff.
yes, if u have dry hair

no, if u have oily hair

but if u have normal hair ur hair dont need to b shampooed that often.alternate days is enough

and yes use conditioner after every wash according to ur hair type.

i have oily hair so i shampoo it almost daily.i love it
probably

Cancer causing agents in our daily use such as shampoos, soaps, food.?????????????/?

is there%26lt;? in what? what arer people doing about it?Cancer causing agents in our daily use such as shampoos, soaps, food.?????????????/?
There is no actual evidence that any of these cause or contribute to cancer.

Smoking has been linked to lung cancer and excessive sun exposure to skin cancer, and up to 10% of cancer cases are due to hereditary factors. Other than that we're still pretty much in the dark as to what causes it.

It's less scary for some people who haven't had cancer to 'blame the victim' - that is to put cancer down to lifesyle factors like diet, and cosmetic use, and lack of exercise - than it is for them to accept that cancer is a largely random disease that can strike any of us at any time.Cancer causing agents in our daily use such as shampoos, soaps, food.?????????????/?

Dear, all cleaning products that contain chemicals as Clorox cause cancer . In addition, eating animal protein (meat , cheese , chee and butter) cause cancer as it increases the number of the free radicals .

Can i use biolage daily leave in tonic to refreshen curls between shampooing?

sure, its a leave in, be careful of build up though. If your curls are thirsty like mine, then you really shouldn't have a problem. Myself, I'm cheep, so I use sunsilk 24-7 cream. That stuff is awesome. I have used a regimen of biosilk before, because it makes it easy to comb in the mournings. Also, you can try pink oil moisturizer. Its good for curl styles and not too expensive.

Luck! Can i use biolage daily leave in tonic to refreshen curls between shampooing?
what is that? if its a conditioner type of thing i wouldn't recomend it. it could weigh your hair down and make it look kind of greasy.

  • Shampooing daily?

do you wash your hair daily, if so do you just put the shampoo on the scalp or all over your head as well? If you don't wash your hair daily, what do you do to get all the tangles out?Shampooing daily?
i wash my hair every other day to keep some of the natural oils in it so it wont be all dry. my hair is thick so when i leave it curly i have to shower the next day otherwise it will be tangly but if i wear it straight then i just brush it.Shampooing daily?
I wash my hair daily in summer, but in winter I wash it every other day. I thoroughly shampoo my hair and scalp ( i have long hair), but conditioning is really important as otherwise the hair becomes really dry. I leave the conditioner for at least three minutes and btw, i only use the conditioner on the ends and nowhere near the scalp. Still if my hair is dry for some reason I use leave on conditioner which keeps it smooth.
To tell you the truth, I don't shampoo my hair daily. I usually do it every other day. When it is all tangled, I use detangler sprays that you can find at Target, Walmart, KMart, etc.
I wash my hair daily. I put the shampoo on my hand then run it through my hair, starting at my scalp and then down to the ends.
i wash my hair daily..i put shampoo in my hand and then spread it all over my hair
i wash my hair daily but my hair gets really greasy

    Should we use shampoos daily?

Yes especially in the summer.......Should we use shampoos daily?
NO !! i asked my doctor the same thing. the answer is no. you hair creates a special, protective substance, which should not be washed away daily. it is recommended to wash your hair once every 2 or 3 days.

I have also read about this on special hairstyling sites. It`s known as a common mistake .Should we use shampoos daily?
It depends on the kind of hair you have. Some hair stylists say that if you have thin hair you can wash it 3 to 4 times a week .They say that when you use conditioner evryday it becomes very fragile and breaks easily. If you have greasy thick hair you should do it every day.It also depends on the weather. In the summer when you sweat a lot and you are outside a lot you should wash it evryday
I try and just rinse it when I don't. I might go two days without using shampoo. I'm not sure, but it seems like your hair probably needs some of the oils you produce.
I heard that you should shampoo every other day, but if you want to do it every day, go for a shampoo that isn't a solid colour. (It should be clear/see through)
Only certain people must shampoo their hair daily due to the build-up of scalp fungus.
Not every day- maybe 3 times a week or every other day. =]
    I don't believe so.

I have heard that even if your hair tends to be oily over washing it can cause more oil to be produced.
depends on how your body reacts to it

my hair grows faster when i wash it everyday compared to washing it every few days

but others obtain oily hair from not washing,so they have to clean it often...

so the answer to this question is going to vary because every one is different
You should only use shampoos if your hair is dirty, but if you just want it to smell nice and be smooth you should just use conditioner.
Yes. It keeps your hair clean and looking great!
    i do
i tried doing it daily...but i think it makes our hair dry...

    now i do 3-4 times a week...n dats good
Nope. Unless you have very oily hair or use extreme styling products daily hairwashing is actually bad for the hair.
No! ... It will eventually dry out your hair. Most White women use it daily but most other races do not. It's not necessary unless you are going to be sweating alot and have no other choice to clean your hair. If not, one a week or once every 2 weeks is more than enough if you do not put chemicals in your hair every day!
Depends on your hair type and also the shampoo type.
Depends on your shampoo! If u do use T/GEL it's OK to use every day! It's not bad for u conterside it's very good! try it I use it!
no it would end up sdrying out your hair that's not good um..every other day should be fine i was fine every week
I don't, I shampoo my hair roughly 2-3 times a week. If I shampoo it every day, it gets dry and frizzy.

I have somewhat curly hair. Following the advice given in the book ';Curly Girl';, I have cut down on shampooing. The book's author has actually gone all the way to skip shampoo entirely and only rinse and use conditioner, I haven't been able to bring myself to go completely without shampoo though.

    http://www.amazon.com/Curly-Girl-Lorrain鈥?/a>
    duh
NO! it is very unhealthy for our hair. 3 times a week is the MAXIMUM number of times to shampoo, while still keeping your hair healthy....

    good luck!
i use it every other day............
no, every other day or even every 2 days. Unless you have really oily hair. Shampooing it everyday will dry it out. You can condition every day though.
yes especially if we work outside

    Shampooing daily is good?

hi .. i live in pakistan and weather is too sweating and hot here in summer so i do shampoo regularly .. and i heard tht doing shampooing daily weakend hairs? is tht true? or what should i do pls guide meShampooing daily is good?
You should absolutely NOT wash your hair everyday. It is very damaging to your hair if you wash it every day. Your hair produces natural oils that are healthy and important for your hair. It is recommended to shampoo your hair every other day.Shampooing daily is good?
It is difficult not to shampoo daily when you sweat daily, but if your hair is extremely oily and you can see that then shampoo away, it of course needs a daily conditioning also. If your hair is not oily the next day when you shower, just wet it down in the shower. Your hair needs that oil to keep it healthy. When I was younger my hair was oily, but I would only shampoo every other day for the health of my hair, now that I am older I still don't shampoo every day so it doesn't dry out. Brushing 100 strokes is not a old tale, it helps to spread that natural oil from the roots to the ends.
Yes, using shampoo daily really does wreck your hair over time. Even though washing it may help it feel and look good temporarily, in the long run the result may not be too good.

Shampooing tears out you hairs natural oils, and it replaces them with chemical and product that really isn't natural. Your natural oils have to work overtime to compensate for all the goodness being ripped out and results in sometimes oily hair. Or very dry course hair.

    Good luck! =P
It really depends on your type of hair. If you have naturally oily hair, or you exercise or play sports everyday, Then I would wash your hair everyday. If you have naturally dry hair, Shampooing it can actually strip your hair of it's natural oils, BUT if you have naturally oily hair, Your hair produces too much oil to be stripped out. So wash it every other day.
The secret would be after shampoo your last rinse has to be with cold water and if not then room temperature. don't use hair dryer immediately after bath and once you dry the humidity out of the scalp dry your hair with cold air.

    Shampoo after three days
    It's bad for your hair..

Does anyone use humectress as a daily moisturizer on their hair between shampoos?

I used to for my daughter because her hair is corkscrew curly and it worked pretty well, but I switched to Herbal Essence None of Your Frizzness and it's a little lighter. She's 3yrs old and wears ponytails. I would not suggest it for an adult because it will weigh the hair down.Does anyone use humectress as a daily moisturizer on their hair between shampoos?
It'll make your hair appear lifeless. Stick to using it only a few days a week. It'll make your hair look smooth and sleek vs. flat and dull.Does anyone use humectress as a daily moisturizer on their hair between shampoos?
No way it weighs hair down and makes it look flat
You can use Humectress daily, if your hair needs it. If it is too much for your hair, then I would use Ensure, in between times. It is light and excellent for your hair.
Humectress is another one of those products that is designed to cause a user to wash their hair daily. The additives will coat each strand of hair with one or more type of additive, to make the hair to feel soft and silkily. Those same additives act like a magnet to attract dust, dirt and all airborne pollutants, making you hair to appear stringy and oily. Most people don't need to condition , or wash their hair daily. Depends on your daily activities that will determine the amount of shampooing one needs. If you use a very good shampoo that has none of those additives, you shouldn't have to shampoo or condition daily. You'll pay more for the better shampoos that don't have those additives and you won't find them is stores. Check with the hair styles of your choice and have him or her recommend the best products for your hair type. Most people (like me) are looking to save money, but remember this, the better shampoos are highly concentrated and need much less product to do the job, thus saving you the money. You should use only a quarter (money) size amount in your palm. Good luck.

Do Clarifying Shampoos lighten your hair color? and do can they be used daily?

They only lighten your hair color if you dye your hair, because they will pull out some of the dye. Or if you have certain minerals in your water that darken your hair, they help remove some of that, and your hair will look lighter. But if you don't dye your hair, and you don't have any weird chemicals in your tap water, then all a clarifying shampoo will do is get rid of gunk build-up from styling products. And, yes, you can use them every day, but clarifying products can be a little drying, so it's best to stick to once or twice a week.Do Clarifying Shampoos lighten your hair color? and do can they be used daily?
I heard clarifying shampoos are bad. It strips your perm or hair color out along with your natural oils in your hair. I never use it.

Is there a type of shampoo that covers grey hair and turns it into black within 3 months if used daily?

I recently bought a hair product manufactured in malaysia which claimed that if used daily, it can cover grey hair and turn your hair silky smooth. Is there a type of shampoo that covers grey hair and turns it into black within 3 months if used daily?
I don't think a shampoo exists that will do that for you.

If you're looking for something inexpensive you can do yourself, try purchasing a bottle of color glaze. They come in all different price ranges and colors. Ask a stylist which brand or color she would recommend. The good thing about the glazes? You use them at home in your shower about once a week!Is there a type of shampoo that covers grey hair and turns it into black within 3 months if used daily?
I have been a hairstylist for 22 years, I have never heard of a shampoo permantly turning your hair another color. It's just not possible. It can be a temporary thing. If you want to change your hair color, you can buy dark brown and black color with no ammonia, just put the color on, let it process and shampoo it out. That's a guarantee. Your hair will grow so once you see gray again, time to color again. Usually 1.5 months.

  • I daily have a bad hair day even though i condition n shampoo them on alternate days?

wat shd i do u improve their health n provide strenght n shine to them.I daily have a bad hair day even though i condition n shampoo them on alternate days?
usually hair go limp if the shampoo and conditioner is not completely removed. so make sure tat u wash thoroughly. also hair become weak if they are stripped of the natural oil since, ur washing them every alternate days then b sure to use a mild shampoo %26amp; condt. massage ur scalp with warm coconut and almond oil once every week. if u are using hair dryer regularly then blow dry them at a low temp. its preferable to dry them naturally. do not tie ur hair in a tight ponytail. stress also a negative effect on ur hair so try to relax dear. brush ur hair atleast 300 to 500 strokes daily adding a slight pressure to ur scalp(atleast 100 strokes reverse from neck up to ur forehead). and lastly drink 5 to 6 glasses of water( vitamin B and A bring lustre to hair). hope this helps you:-)I daily have a bad hair day even though i condition n shampoo them on alternate days?
for dull hairs eat foods which are rich in VITAMIN E... or take tablets (rich in vitamin e) if necessary... this was my granny's tip.. and i got good result for my hair.. u can also try 'em.. but its better to eat foods rather than tablets.. anyway.. good luck!!
try using herbal escences' new shampoo and conditioners... they have different kinds for things such as hydrating, less static, shine, etc.
get a hair cut that is suitable for your hair type then try different brands of shampoo until you find one that works my hair gets dull if i use the same brand for more than four months
1st:I think you need to keep your hair more clean.

2nd:You need to check out what type of shampoo and conditioner is suitable for your hair.

3rd:You need to drink plenty of water in a day(I don't know how much you drink).

    4th:try to use organic products.

5th:Use hair colors from trusted brand(even it costly).

6th:the last but the impotent thing is your diet try to avoid fried foods and keep eating healthy and green organic foods.

hope my words can help you.

    cheers
Product makes all the difference as well as a good haircut of course! When it comes to products you get what you pay for. So if your using V05 or even Dove.... your not going to have the most beautiful hair you could have. I would go to a professional hair salon and get some really quality hair products. The hair stylist there can help you pick out the best for your type of hair. Good luck!!
eat for vitamins. from what i know, your hair is waste produced from your body. so wahtever u take in, comes out. so eat healthy food like your greens and fruits.

Or you can try using honey and avocado. blend them together, one avocado to one teaspoon of honey. It helps to repair dry ends and stuff like that. so while u eat healthy food, do the hair mask twice a week.

so u would have a treatment, both from the inside and outside.

    good luck!
You should condition your hair everyday, but not shampoo everyday.
do not use any conditioner but apply radico brand shampoo, conditioner and their oik, it will done miracle.
apply oils such as almond, olive, coconut and then see which suits u best. Apply before every hair wash and keep it on for almost 5 hours. You can also apply a mixture of egg and yogurt for shiny hair.such techniques would never damage your hair.
Get a clarifying shampoo like the Ion brand from Sally's Beauty Supply. Use this about 1 time per week. Also, get a good shampoo and conditioner like Kenra. Don't use cheap products because most of them have waxy substances that make your hair dry and weighed down. You should shampoo and condition your hair every other day. Also, if you do not color your hair you should definitely try it. It gives your hair more body and manageability.

my SISTER uses LAKME SNAP SHINE SHAMPOO %26amp; CONDITIONER

IF U WANT BOUNCE HAIR THERE IS SNAP BOUNCE

Is it necessary after use shampoo u have to use Dove conditioner also daily?

I always recommend using conditioner because it conditions, reduces tangles, reduces static electricity, make hair shiny.

ONLY USE A VERY SMALL AMOUNT.Is it necessary after use shampoo u have to use Dove conditioner also daily?
    Daily??? Don't use Shampoos daily...

Of course, you can shower your hair daily but not with shampoos.

Use Shampoos and Conditioners only once in a week, say a weekend...

G'day! Is it necessary after use shampoo u have to use Dove conditioner also daily?
You dont ';have'; to use conditioner after washing your hair.

Some people simply don't need it, others have a problem with oiliness caused by conditioning.....Use your own judgement.
well after shampoo you should use conditioner to help you hair become soft, and dnt wash your hair daily try every otehr day, the oils help your hair
Yes, your hair needs the a touch of conditioning moisture that is washed away along with the dirtiness after you've lathered your shampoo and rinsed. So if you are shampooing daily, then you need to follow up with conditioning afterwards.
I would use it after, but not daily. too much conditioner will give you dandriff and greasy hair.
no it is not nesscassy but the conditoner will make your hair stay in place and more softer and silker

9yr old son wont use soap on body/shampoo on hair when showering&has to be reminded daily to brush teeth help!

mine would stand in the shower for an hour, it seemed, with a wash cloth on his head not even getting wet above the chest. Don't worry he will get over it. Meanwhile you will have to keep reminding him. It will be a fond memory in the future.9yr old son wont use soap on body/shampoo on hair when showering%26amp;has to be reminded daily to brush teeth help!
Congratulation you have a very normal 9 yo.9yr old son wont use soap on body/shampoo on hair when showering%26amp;has to be reminded daily to brush teeth help!
He's 9 years old and doesn't really care about grooming.

Remind him...but DO NOT get upset when he forgets. Sooner or later he'll start caring.
about the soap, I dont know. I still had to be reminded to brush my teeth until I was a teenager, it has to become a complete habbit, so you just have to keep drilling it into hiss head until he knows it is something that he has to do twice a day!
Do you have a new baby? Sometimes children like to act out when their parents are going to have/ have a baby.

You could try to guilt him into showering properly by telling him that big boys wash with soap and shampoo and brush their teeth without being told. Or perhaps if you have another child that bathes correctly, praise them for doing so and hope he'll follow your lead.
Give him rules, and advise him of the punishments if he does not obey the rules. No soap/shampoo/teeth, no tv, computer or x-box and he has to do chores. Some but not all, some time, but not as much as he wants. Keeps clean to your standards, then can see/do as much as you think reasonable given his age, bedtime and homework. If he does not obey now, just try to get him to obey when he is older.
So typical of boys that age. It will change when he becomes interested in sex and needs to impress the object of his affections. Meanwhile your nagging will remain in his memory until it's needed.
keep nagging...build it into his schedule...before TV comes showering...smell his hair for shampoo and if it's not cleaned properly send him back during his shows.

    same for teeth...
Its normal at that age.....he will grow out of it. All of my kids except the baby are in that phase. They will grow out of it when they start noticing the opposite sex.
    show him this http://www.foogle.biz/bad_rottten_teeth.鈥?/a>
I have a 9yo daughter, and it seems to work if I let her pick our her own supplies, ie soap/shampoo/toothpaste. Then she is (slightly, lol) more eager to get clean. Hope it works for ya!

Is it ok if we wash our hair daily(shampooing everyday?)?

Your hair will become dry AND greasy at the same time

If you wash everyday, your scalp will produce more oil, so your fighting a losing battle.

Washing every 3 - 5 day (depending on your natural hair type) will do fine.Is it ok if we wash our hair daily(shampooing everyday?)?
No, i don't think it's very good to wash your hair everyday. Some people told me that washing your hair everyday does the same damage as straightening it everyday because it takes all the natural oils out of your hair and kills it.....

I wash my hair every second day but if your hair gets oily like that* use some spray in shampoo or something like that.Is it ok if we wash our hair daily(shampooing everyday?)?
No. It dries out your hair. Wash every other day unless you have super oily hair.

    Please answer mine?

It is not good to wash your hair everyday because it will dry out your hair.

And washing your hair makes it greaser so limit it to 3 times a week
It's better to wash your hair every other day
i hear its drys out your hair but i cant stand not taking a shower but that just me

I found no effect. To me boric powder treatment worked wonders. Mix a spoon of boric powder with some vinegar. Apply on the scalp and leave for 20 min. Wash it off with a mild shampoo like Ultra Doux gentle shampoo with rosemary oil extract. You can do this twice a week and alternate days only shampoo. Try this for a month and see the difference.
HI FRIEND YOU CAN USE THE SHAMPOO REGULARLY ONLY IF IT IS HERBAL ANY OF OTHER SHAMPOO WILL HARM YOU HAIR ON DAIL BASIS. YOU MAY FACE THE HAIR FALL DESEASE ALSO SO USE IT ONCE OR TWICE A WEEK. THAT WILL BE GOOD FOR YOUR HAIR OR YOU CAN USE KESH NIKHAR SOAP ON DAILY BASIS IT IS NOT HARMFUL

    hai!!

    1) if u dont have synus problem try the below remedy..

apply fresh squeezed lemonjuice all over ur scalp and hair(thouroughly).soak for 30 minutes and take a nice warm bath..ur dandruff will get drastcally reduced in 2 baths,..

2)if u have synus problem, then try soaking with franch oil for 30 miutes and take bath.massage all over ur scalp thouroughly.

this is also a gr88 rememdy..

    give them a try

    OR

u can use lemon juice or white vinegar these two methods are good

    Steps:

-Wash and condition your hair normally.

-If you have to use a hair dryer, lightly blow dry your hair, using a brush as you do it. In general it is best to avoid hot rollers, curling irons, or dryers as they will damage hair and make long hair less attractive over time.

-At night, put your hair in a pony tail and braid it, then roll it up into a bun and tie it up. (You do this so when you sleep you dont toss and turn and pull your hair out on your pillow!) If your hair is fine, skip this step and avoid elastic hair binders which will break the hair at the point where they are used. Hair under tension tends to break and you want your hair LONG!

-Consider an oil treatment (hot or regular) every week.

-If your hair isn't very dry, a good conditioner used with every wash will suffice.

-Wash your hair once every one and a half weeks (about every ten days) if your hair is kinky or nappy.

-Fine, straight hair will require washing every other day to look healthy. Use a non-drying shampoo and a good conditioner.

-If your hair is naturally dry do not wash it too often as it will strip your hair of it's natural oils, leaving it even drier.

    Extra Tips

-If you don't know how to do a hot oil treatment in your hair, ask for help and/or read directions.

-Don't put gel or hairspray with alcohol in your hair as it will have a drying effect.

-Make sure not to really put anything in it except shampoo and conditioner.

-Start this whole adventure with a professional hair cut first to give yourself the best possible starting point for long, healthy hair.

-For some people, it is possible that areas of your life such as diet, exercise, hours of sleep, and stress affect hair growth. Healthy habits will promote healthy hair!

-Regular haircuts, even while you are trying to grow it out, will keep the hair looking good and, more importantly, keep it healthy.

Apply henna mixed with curd n lime juice twice a month...leave it on for an hour n wash ur hair....trust me...it does wonders...
that's your choice but bath daily
A very good dandruff shampoo is Head and Shoulders. Do not wash your hair every day, or it will BECOME greasy. If you want longer hair fast, go for expensive extensions. They are worth the proce, and perhaps better if done professionally. If you want natural long hair, one tip is to massage your scalp while the shampoo is in( in the shower) Something I do, that may sound REALLY weird, is rinsing my hair with vinegar a few times a month. I keeps my hair very silky and healthy looking. If you want a change of hair-color, get you hair dyed professionally, and start using a color-protecting shampoo, with your Head and Shoulders conditioner.

Shampoo - does washing and conditioning your hair daily thin your hair and eventually make it fall out quicker

Generally, it's bad for your hair to wash it everyday. It strips away the hair's natural oils. Conditioning your hair only helps it, making it stronger. It doesn't make it thicker or make it fall out quicker. But think about all the stuff you do to your hair, just on a daily basis. You wash it, brush it, dry it, style it........your hair takes a beating just getting ready, then you add in sun/wind damage.....man oh man. But as long as you condition your hair, and let it have a rest from gels and blowdryers even just once a week, your hair will stay a lot healthier. Also, you should get a trim about once every 8 weeks, to get rid of the dead ends.Shampoo - does washing and conditioning your hair daily thin your hair and eventually make it fall out quicker
no, it is inherited.Shampoo - does washing and conditioning your hair daily thin your hair and eventually make it fall out quicker
if ur hair is getting thinner by daily shampooing change ur shampoo n try a milder one.
No it does not.One of the reasons for thinning hair in men is the lack of massage to the scalp.
No not really. I wash my hair everyday it's the blowdrying and straitening that makes it weak. It can make your hair greasier by having to wash it everyday. Use a protector like a shine spray or GHD protector after blowdrying
No it should not. You could have a medical problem or some medications you are taking could cause the loss of hair.
Rumors Rumors and more Rumors. But no,,,, it doesnt.
NOPE!!!!!!!!!!! Total myth, just makes it greasier and needs washing more often, I was my hair everyday no harm, looks fine!

Is Paul Mitchell Shampoo Two Safe For Daily Use?

I have combination hair, gets oily at the roots fast and somewhat slightly dryer at the ends. I can wash my hair in the morning and by the end of the day it starts looking a little oily in my bangs, and by the next morning my hair looks disgusting and awful! I color my hair different brown shades and i wanteed to know if it would be safe to use daily or at absolute minimum every other day. Shampoo Three is the strongest clarifyer but this one is a bit more gentle. Would this be good for my oily hair?

I would follow with Paul Mitchell The Rinse conditioner.

Thanks to every1 who answers!! :-)Is Paul Mitchell Shampoo Two Safe For Daily Use?
well i would use the Tea Tree shampoo and conditioner...this is actually more clarifying than the three and it has more moisturizing agents in it....but you NEED to use a serum...i cant stress that enough...only on the midhsaft through the ends...dont put product on your scalp if it gets oily quick. Also a handy little product is a Dry Shampoo...Oscar Blandi makes an amazing one. Its like baby powder for your hair, you put it on your scalp, work it through for a minutes and it soaks up the oil keeping your hair soft and fresh looking...i also like Redo by Johnathan. Is Paul Mitchell Shampoo Two Safe For Daily Use?
Oh, be very careful with that first answer with the link... dangerous!!! It needs to be banned.

It is not normal for anyone to have such oily hair. There must be something quite wrong. You don't say how old you are -- if you are a teenager, that may be possible since all kinds of strange things happen to you then. But that is not normal.

I would suggest that you are using a shampoo that is too strong. You only want to clean your hair, nothing more. You of course know that you only apply shampoo to the root area, and not all the way to the ends. You only use as much as you need to get a slight lather... lather just means you are using too much and that is wasteful. Paul Mitchell usually makes very good products so I don't think it is at fault... maybe you can try something milder?

Sometimes when you use a too-strong shampoo, your skin will produce more oil to get it back to normal. And the cycle begins.

You may be using products on your hair after that are not keeping your hair clean. I know most conditioners contain oils and waxes and are really not doing anything for you. Check on that.

You can try this: make a rinse of 1 tablespoon Epsom salts in a glass (8 oz) of water. Run that through your hair at the very end, and leave it on. You can also spray it on when it is towel-dry, if you like. It will help to keep your hair from getting so oily so quickly.

I feel if you used good products and did it correctly, you should not have to shampoo your hair for 3-4 days, or even longer.

To my suprise the improvements showed within a week, not only top people of the world use it even the poorest people of the world use it too, the products are affoardable and good.

Very SAFE.. until u do something funky to your hair.
I fell that u should not wash ur hair daily with any shampoo. Wash ur hair evry alternate day with ur shampoo n cinditioner. Too much washing of the hair will strip it of its essential nutrients

I'm real confused. How often should I be using Shimmer Lights Shampoo and Conditioner? Daily? Once a week?

I already had blonde hair (some of it hightlighted and some or it colored) but then I wanted MORE highlights in there. The highlights and color i already had were golden blonde. I wanted some BARBIE BLONDE highlights (that Paris Hilton kind). My hairdresser did it but....it looks the same. I have only SOME really this platinum blonde highlights. My hair is still mainly golden blonde. I was told by someone to use Shimmer Lights Shampoo and Conditioner....to take out the yellow, it says. What REALLY does taking out the yellow mean? Will it help lighten my hair (the gold streaks to barbie blonde streaks)? Or....will it just make my hair look ONE EVEN COLOR.......clearly, I dont want my entire hair to look the same, i wouldnt have gotten highlights then. Help me. And how often do I use this stuff? I read somewhere online that using it daily can turn my hair purple. Ummmm....I don't want purple hair, not my kinda thing. Help pleaseeee. THANKS!I'm real confused. How often should I be using Shimmer Lights Shampoo and Conditioner? Daily? Once a week?
It doesn't take out the yellow, the purple pigment neutralizes it, but it will NOT make your hair lighter. The generic brand will make your hair purple if used too often, I wouldn't recommend it more than once a week. Make sure to get the Clairol Professional version, rather than the Sally's brand.

Your hair may be too difficult to lift up to a platinum blonde, it depends on what level your hair was to begin with.I'm real confused. How often should I be using Shimmer Lights Shampoo and Conditioner? Daily? Once a week?
use it once or twice a week. it just neutralizes the yellow color, but it won't lighten it. some people, like myself, can't lighten the hair after a certain level. you may want to ask your stylist to try getting it lighter, but there's a chance she can't lighten it too much more.

While using Dove Shampoo, which Hair oil we used Daily ?

use almond oil, olive oil or johnson baby oil.....While using Dove Shampoo, which Hair oil we used Daily ?
It contains Sodium Lauryl Sulfate which ensures that your hair strand is damaged as also the root. It works thoroughly against the wellness of your hair. It's no different from any other commercial brand. So, it's immaterial what oil you try alongwith it - almond oil or kerosene oil !

If you are looking for a good oil for your hair, go for Olive oil,

If you are looking for a better oil for your hair, go for Almond Oil + Olive oil,

If you are looking for the best oil for your hair, go for Hempseed Oil + Jojoba Oil

If you are looking for a good Shampoos for your hair that are free from Sulfates and are not surfactant based and contain all the good stuff for your hair, hair-root and scalp like vitamins, minerals, anti-oxidants and some herbs, go for the Segals Solutions Program. Nothing else is even closer and is now recommended by members of the Intl.Association of Trichologists.

I wash my hair everyday or I feel like I've been camping. Mine is so greasy I could be a NASCAR sponsor. Can i shampoo my hair daily as they get oily very frequently?
yes but wont make any difference i wash my hair everyday and still gets very oily up to you though its your head. Can i shampoo my hair daily as they get oily very frequently?
Saishoku is the only one that knows what they're talking about---Her answer is exactly right. You can rinse your hair everyday, but only shampoo about every other day. Frequent shampooing strips your hair of it's natural oils, therefore causing it to produce even more...it's trying to compensate!
it is not a good idea to shampoo ur hair every day .. coz ull be destroying ur hair follicles by the excess use .. although shampoo are meant to be safe, in matter of fact they r not !! shampoo contain all sort of nast chemicals to remove dirt and stuff .. if u want to remove excess oil, try the organic soap which is sold in places like holland %26amp; barrit (or something like that) ..

the soap is made for hair and the body from apples and it is amazing for washing as it removes oil and leaves a very pleasent apple smell and smooth silky hair ..

my family used to do their own ones and sell them back in old days but now u can get them anywhere .. so try those and see how it goes .. but then there is nothing wrong with oily hair.. some people would pay millions to make their hair oily !!
Yes you may shampoo your hair daily. Natural oils from your scalp may protect your hair, but dirt and microorganisms get caught in them throughout the day. Just make sure you use conditioner at least once a week to prevent your hair from drying, especially if you live in a tropical climate. Hope this helps.
    YES.
Unless you've got really dry hair, you can wash your hair daily. If you're worried about it you can always use dry shampoo every other day...
yes u can as it has no harm in that but they keep u cool and make you feel good
Washing your hair daily can actually make it more oily, as with each wash you are stripping the natural oil away causing it to produce more oil.

Try every other day (unless you get sweaty and dirty) and try shampoos for oily hair.

Does using the daily color enhancing shampoos from pantene help lighten dark colored hair?

I have dark colored hair (black) and I want to lighten my hair color without damaging it. If I use one of these: http://i26.tinypic.com/2ppnhbq.jpg will my hair be able to lighten up?Does using the daily color enhancing shampoos from pantene help lighten dark colored hair?
No, these shampoos are designed to deposit colour not remove colour.Does using the daily color enhancing shampoos from pantene help lighten dark colored hair?
They just enhance natural color. If your hair has some natural brown low/highlights in it the shampoo will bring that out. But if your hair is completely black, the shampoo won't do anything.

My Jack Russell dog seems to get dirty frequently. I heard that Royal Treatment dog shampoo can be used daily.

Does anyone know if Royal Treatment Dog Shampoo can be used frequently to bathe my puppy and not give him skin problems? My Jack Russell dog seems to get dirty frequently. I heard that Royal Treatment dog shampoo can be used daily.
A dog should never be bathed more then once every three to four weeks.

You can buy the little towlettes from your local petstore, and then just try to rub most of the dirt and stuff off.

But it is bad for the dogs skin to bathe frequently, ESPECIALLY daily. Shampoos remove the natural oils that the skin produces, ALL shampoos do. Without these oils, the skin drys out, as well as the hair.My Jack Russell dog seems to get dirty frequently. I heard that Royal Treatment dog shampoo can be used daily.
Get a good brush and use that to get the dirt off him.

There are special towels and wipes now too.

Bathing a dog more than twice a month will lead to skin problems.
My JRT is always dirty no matter how many times i brush him, he is a wire coat, I don't think its good to bath them too often. They are always digging or into something unsavoury lol.
I would not suggest bathing more than once a week, or your dog will get dry skin, and other skin problems.

Can i shampoo my hair daily with pantene prov shampoo+ conditioner??

Hi i am 23 years old .I used to wash my hair 5 times in 2 weeks. If i did so i used to loose 50-60 strands when ever i wash my hair....My scalp used to turn oily after 2 days of my hair wash.I used to find very little hair fall for 1-2 days after washing my hair .Once the scalp turns oily i used to notice hair fall. Now i have started washing my hair daily with the same pantene shampoo + conditioner that i used earlier.Daily while washing my hair i find at max 10 strands...n for d rest of d day i find no hair fall at all....But my friends tell dat shampooing daily is not good....wat shud i do ?please suggest me????Can i shampoo my hair daily with pantene prov shampoo+ conditioner??
Shampooing daily is not a bad thing. You should use a shampoo that says ';regular use'; or ';daily use';.

The more you wash your hair, the faster it becomes oily. That is the only inconvenient. Washing it very often stimulates the sebum production, but as long as you use a shampoo for regular use, it should be ok. There are a lot of shampoos on the market. I am not a fan of Pantene, but i just love L'Oreal. It does the job so that my hair doesn't look oily and i don't lose almost any strands.

if your problem is much more serious, you should ask your pharmacist about the best shampoo for regular use. Never use shampoos or lotions for oily skin because it will only dry your skin, maybe even get dandruff and then your skin will become even more oily.

Keep in mind that losing hair might also be attributed to the lack of good nutrition or to the lack of vitamins. If things get more serious, try seeing a dermatologist. Even if your problem is not that serious, a doctor can advice you anyway. Can i shampoo my hair daily with pantene prov shampoo+ conditioner??
while there are some products out there that cause hair to fall washing it everyday will not cause it to fall any faster.

hair fall out at different rates during the month. the fact is that hair falls out of everybody's head. the only differnce is how fast it grows back out.

wash your hair girl. especially if it get oilly and smelly. dont listen to those people who make things up just becuase they can.
u should go to the doctor u sound like u have a condition that needs to be checked out
Shampooing daily isn't necessarily a bad things. You should not use the same shampoo every day though. It causes build up. So now and then you should use a different shampoo.

And you should stay away from pantene all together. I've had hair stylist after hair stylist tell me how horrible that stuff is for your hair.
Yeah, it depend on hair type.. But really I've read so many articles that daily shampooing is a no-no. Why dont you just alternate the use... shampoo today, conditioner tomorrow.. but for my hair.. i conditioner it daily coz it's dry...
it really depends on the hair type.

but pantene claims it can prevent hair fall.

    really confusing right?
yes-its not good to shampoo ur hair daily.i shampoo mine twice a week.also losing abt 80 strands of hair daily is natural.u cud get some good home remedies from ur hair speacialist to prevent continuous hairfall if u feel ur losing too much.and also try switching ur shampoo to one with the least chemicals,i use baby shampoo.
dont use pantene every day...no good!believe me.
I am sorry to say that if you use this product all your hair can fall out. It is a type of wax used in floor waxes. It can seal off the cuticles and the hair die out. I suggest a professional product from a salon. Those items are not required to wax the product down. These waxes are used so you have to use more shampoo to get the job done..thus having to buy more, more quickly. Hope this helps!
Both my mom and i used that stuff, DAILY, my hair is perfectly fine, but my mom's burst into wacky curls. It's terrible

(JUst Kidding, she got a perm it works great daily)
If youre going to wash your hair daily (not recommened) use a baby shampoo and condition your hair once a week. Try combing your hair more often to move the oils away from your scalp and it will condition the hairs between shampooing.
